Phase Two - Replacement of Top Boundary Fence
and Pedestrian Gates
Now that phase one of our boundary security has been completed we must now turn our focus to phase two. When completed this will replace the top boundary fence and the two pedestrian gates.
Probably our most vulnerable point of access is one of the two the pedestrian gates. This gate is not only in a poor state of repair but also is very easily climbed over and has been used as an access point for vandals. In short it may as well not be there!
With this in mind, the contractors, who worked on our entrance, have been asked to offer a firm quotation for the replacement of this gate with one of a similar style to the entrance. If the quote is affordable, (hopefully it will be), then work will start on replacing this gate soon.
We will then need to turn our efforts towards funding the top fence and second pedestrian gate.
We have a rough estimate of the cost of this work which is approximately £6,000 for the fencing and £700 for the gate. This would replace this boundary with a fence and gate in the same style as the entrance. Obviously the more time that it takes for us to accumulate any funding then the more the cost will rise. The price of steel is increasing all the time.
If we are to achieve phase two then we need to pull out all the stops and welcome any ideas or support that anyone can give us. (Like using our affiliated links and shopping pages) One thing is certain - we will achieve this!!

Phase Two (Part One) has now been completed. The gate in the top right corner was installed today.
An application has been sent to Awards for All in an attempt to gain funding for the rest of phase two, i.e. top fence and pedestrian gate.
