Winning Ways

We are absolutely delighted to be able to announce that our site is back to winning prizes. This year no less than three of our plots gained recognition in the Ossett and Horbury area, Wakefield allotments competition.

 

Tracy, (Mick) Dunni and Phil won first prize in the newcomers category. This was for the whole of the Wakefield Ditstrict.

Joe and Pat won the category for mature allotmenteers. (I hope Pat approves of how that was phrased). This was for the Horbury and Ossett area.

Simon and Mel gained second prize in the open category. This was for the Horbury and Ossett area.

 

You can see below that they had already been enjoying the fruits of their labours when this photograph was taken.

 

 

 

All three couples are new to allotmenting so congratulations to them for doing us proud!!!

 

The Dewsbury Road site won the prize for the best kept site in Wakefield. Well done to them. If you garden on Dewsbury Road why not send us some photographs.
